CROSS-CURRICULAR SKILLS TRAINING

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  • Admission Criteria:

Admission criteria will be based on the applicants’ merits and skills, according to their academic certificates, assessing their CVs and the applicants’ personal motivation. For a positive assessment of the applicant's motivation letter, an endorsement signed by a lecturer of the PhD programme will be required. Criteria and admission process for part-time students will be the same as for those for full-time students.

Final admission will be based on the weighting of the following criteria:

  1. Student’s academic record: 75% of which 50% will belong to the Master’s degree required to enter PhD studies and 25% to the undergraduate degree or equivalent).
  2. Accreditation of a foreign language (15%): Minimum level required is B1 (MERL).
  3. Predoctoral Curriculum Vitae of the applicant (scholarships and grants awarded, stays at other universities in the lower education cycles, etc.) (10%).
  • Required documents: 
  • Applicant’s letter of motivation.
  • Signature of a PhD holder who will undertake the thesis supervision. That signature can appear either on the applicant's letter of motivation or in a separate document. The Phd holder must meet the requirements established by the University of Alicante regulations for thesis directors. In case the future director does not belong to the UA PhD degree in Arts, the document must be signed by a lecturer of the programme acting as a tutor
  • Applicant’s overall academic record of their undergraduate degree.
  • Applicant’s overall academic record of their Master’s degree or their Advanced Studies Diploma.
  • Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with a copy of the documents accrediting merits.
  • The CV must be headed by the line(s) of research chosen within the PhD degree.

Places offered: 75 places (65 full time and 10 part-time)
